Is GRMS For You

Guadalupe Regional Middle School accepts applications from students who:

  • Are entering the sixth grade

  • Reside in the U.S. and desire a Catholic education

  • Come from families of low to modest incomes who qualify for federal assistance under the free and reduced lunch guidelines

  • Are hard working and have been successful in elementary school with average to above average grades

 

When and how to apply:
Admission to Guadalupe Regional Middle School is for incoming sixth graders only. Applications are available each January and the Entrance Exam is usually administered in March. 

In keeping with our model, the maximum number of sixth graders admitted each year is 34 (two classes of 17). If space is still available after the first round of testing, applications will continue to be accepted. Once the maximum number of students is reached, students will be placed on a waiting list.

  • Están por entrar al sexto grado.

  • Viven en los Estados Unidos y quieren una educación Católica

  • Provienen de una familia de escasos a modestos recursos la cual califica para obtener asistencia federal ante el margen de almuerzo gratuito y reducido

  • Son sobresalientes y han tenido éxito en la primaria con un buen promedio de calificaciones​​

 

Cuando y como aplicar:

La admisión a Guadalupe Regional Middle School es para los alumnos que van al sexto grado. Las aplicaciones están disponibles cada Enero y el Examen de Admisión es coordinada en Marzo.

 

Nuestro margen nos permite aceptar el máximo ingreso de 34 estudiantes (dos clases de 17) cada año. Si el espacio está disponible después del primer filtro de exámenes las aplicaciones seguirán siendo aceptadas. Una vez que se llegue al máximo de estudiantes aceptados, los estudiantes serán inscritos en una lista de espera.

The Process

The offer of admission is based upon financial need, a student’s performance on the entrance examination, and an evaluation of a student's total scholastic record.  Information provided to the school on the student’s application must be accurate. Falsification of any information provided may be grounds for dismissal of a student. Interviews and home visits are required in determining admission.

Financial Need

As a private Catholic school designed to serve low income families of Brownsville, financial need is the first condition for admission. Families are required to show proof of income. Federal guidelines for free and reduced lunch are used as one criterion for admission.


Entrance Exam

The entrance exam for Guadalupe Regional Middle School consists of the Stanford Diagnostic Tests in Mathematics and Reading.


Scholastic Record

A current report card and teacher recommendation are required as a criterion for admission. Complete student transcripts are required upon acceptance.

La oferta de admisión es basada en la necesidad financiera, la calificación en el examen de admisión, y una evaluación del record académico del estudiante. La información que proveen en la aplicación tiene que estar correcta. La falsificación de información puede anular la admisión del estudiante. Entrevistas y visitas al hogar es un requerimiento en decidir la admisión del estudiante.

 

Ayuda Financiera

Como escuela privada y Católica diseñada para servir a familias de bajos recursos en Brownsville, necesidad financiera es la primer condición para ser admitido. Requerimos que las familias muestren pruebas de sus ingresos. El criterio de admisión incluye márgenes Federales de almuerzos reducidos or gratuitos.

Examen de Admisión

El examen de admisión de Guadalupe Regional Middle School consiste de un proceso de examinación de Stanford en matemáticas y lectura.

Record Académico

Se requiere un reporte de calificaciones y una recomendación de un maestro o una maestra. Debido al rigor académico de la escuela, los estudiantes deben de tener un buen promedio de calificaciones al aplicar a Guadalupe Regional Middle School. El reporte académico completo de calificaciones será requerido cuando los estudiantes sean aceptados.
