Congratulations to GRMS grad Jackie Martinez '14 on her outstanding final presentation of her study for her Summer Science Internship. This very important meeting took place at the UT Health Science Center San Antonio Regional Academic Health Center (RAHC) Auditorium Room 1.100 in Harlingen, Texas and featured the research of up-and-coming young scientists participating in the 2016 Rio Grande Valley Summer Science Internship Program. On Friday, June 2nd, 2016 Guadalupe Regional Middle School held their graduation ceremony at Our Lady of Guadalupe Church to say farewell to their 12th and largest graduating class. Bishop Daniel Flores led the mass with the help of Father Francisco Acosta. Individuals representing the school’s founders- the Congregation of Christian Brothers, Sisters of the Incarnate Word and Blessed Sacrament, and Marist Brothers of the Schools- were also present to recognize the hard work and leadership of the 29 graduating students. Summer Scholars Photos Posted to Facebook

This past June, Guadalupe Regional Middle School kicked off their second annual Summer Scholars program for rising 6th, 7th, and 8th grade students. A two-week summer opportunity, Summer Scholars takes GRMS students on a week of fun field trips, allows them to choose from a range of exciting electives such as sign language and art, as well as helps students sharpen core subject skills in a dynamic and fun environment. This summer, students were able to explore the behind-the-scenes of Gladys Porter Zoo, attend a cooking class, and tour the UTRGV campus.
